Guillaume Mainguet graduated in 1998 from the Université de Rennes 1. His studies were mainly concentrated on “Cultural Projects” and “Program Development and Management”. He entered the cinema field in Fran.
Guillaume Mainguet graduated in 1998 from the Université de Rennes 1. His studies were mainly concentrated on “Cultural Projects” and “Program Development and Management”. He entered the cinema field in France from 2000 to 2007 by promoting independent and arthouse films in different sectors of the cinema distribution network. During his first job, he worked as a programer for cinema theaters and a freelance film critic. In 2007 he started working for the Festival of 3 Continents (Nantes), first as an audience coordinator and since 2009 as head of the festival’s professional program, the international training workshop regarding international co-productions «Produire au Sud». A screenwriter and film director since 2009 he has shot several short films screened and awarded worldwide. He currently works as an audiovisual attaché at French Embassies around the world. Mainguet’s short film “Vincent Before Noon” was an annual nominee for the Best Short Film Award at Short Encounters IFF 2021 edition. The film was also nominated for both the Best Leading Actor and the Best Supporting Actor awards.

Professor and artist George Harvalias was born in 1956 in Athens where he lives and works until today.
Professor and artist George Harvalias was born in 1956 in Athens where he lives and works until today. He studied Graphic Arts at the Center of Technological Applications (1971-74) and painting at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1976-1983), continuing his studies as a scientific associate. Consequently as an art professor and headmaster of the Master’s Department of “Digital Art Forms”, he was elected vice-dean in 2006 and later on dean of the Athens School of Fine Arts, remaining at this post until August 31st, 2014. Since 1996 he has developed significant work in many institutional and interuniversity research projects. With numerous individual and collective exhibitions and over 60 publications he is considered an invaluable cultural figure not only in Greece, but in Europe as well.
KIRIAKOS KOTSINIS, MA

Kiriakos Kotsinis was born in Greece. He is a director, screenwriter, editor and an author. He studied at Thessaloniki (Greece), where he obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Infrastructure and a Bachelor’s degree in Film & Theatre studies.

He studied at Thessaloniki (Greece), where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Infrastructure and a Bachelor’s degree in Film & Theatre studies. He continued his studies in Manchester (UK), where he received his Master’s degree in Continental Philosophy & Philosophy of Art. During his studies, he made his first steps into filmmaking, directing and producing one short and one feature film. After his academic education, he made an unfortunate break (as he puts it) working for four years as an independent contractor in the line of constructions and commerce. An unfortunate relationship in which he put an end to in order to get back to his one and only true passion, cinema! For the last fifteen years he has written, directed and produced over fifteen short films, including a web series and numerous video clips. His web series, a 7 episodes no budget series (2010-2013), was broadcasted in the UK, on MYTV. His first novel “More Time” was published in 2019 while his last three short films have won over 40 awards in established film festivals all around the world.

Iyabo Kwayana is an Assistant professor at Dartmouth college, Boston, USA. Her animation/experimental short film “By Water”, Oscar qualified for the 2024 awards”, was an Official Selection at Short Encounter’s 2022 edition and nominated for both the Best Animation and Best Experimental awards. She is an independent filmmaker and cinematographer who uses sensorial and immersive techniques in cinematography, directing and editing, in order to amplify the more discreet, often hidden aspects of film narratives, compelling viewers towards an immersive, supra-sensorial, and transformative experience. She is the recipient of several awards and fellowships including the Fulbright-Hays Fellowship, the Edie and Lew Wasserman film fellowship, the Stanley Kramer Fellowship in Film Directing and the Women in Film Foundation’s Loreen Arbus Fellowship in Cinematography. Her film Macarrão is a BAFTA shortlisted film. She won Jury Prizes at Zanzibar International Film festival and BlackStar International Film Festival as well as the Hellen Hill Jury Award at IndieGrits film festival. Amongst the places she has screened are Visions du Réel, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Camden, AFI Docs Festival, Chicago UndergroundFestival, and Museum of Moving Image . Other works to which she is a key collaborator have screened widely both domestically and internationally.

Cecilie made her debut at “The Royal Danish Theatre” in Medea (2022). Since graduating, she has, among other things, appeared in The Little Prince as The Prince at “Theatre Next” and as Constanze, Venticello 1, Venticello 2 and Ensemble in Amadeus at “The Royal Danish Theatre”. In addition, for the rest of this theatre season, she will be performing in the production The Regression as Dawn, Sister and Narrator at “The Royal Danish Theatre” and in the production My Fair Lady as Eliza Doolittle at “NoerregadeTheatre” in Hylddalen. Greg Eleftheriou is a music composer. He has composed extensively for films and for the theatre, having won three “Best Soundtrack” awards in international film festivals.

As a performer, he is an accomplished guitarist/songwriter having recorded 4 studio albums, toured Europe & Latin America repeatedly as a band member and performed as a session musician in music and theatre shows. His ability to play the piano, the viola, the clarinet and also to sing, make him a versatile and diverse performer. In parallel with composing, Greg is a guitar/music theory tutor. He is a permanent jury member at Short Encounters International Film Festival.”

“Kim R. Nyberg is an internationally established award-winning music composer. He was born in 1976 in Finland and grew up there as a part of the swedish speaking minority (ca 6% of the population). While growing up, his interest and focus turned heavily into music. He moved to Denmark and started studying Musicology in Copenhagen in 1998. He hasn’t cut his hair in a quarter of a century and has released around 10 albums as a composer and 3 as a co-writer. His band Afenginn, founded in 2002, is getting grown up and has travelled a lot with its music, performing in many parts of the world, receiving numerous awards. The last years he has started two new bands: Klingra and Vielsted, both with new music being released. He has also composed for symphony orchestras, ballets, films, theatre, choirs and he can somehow make a living doing all this. His work has been recognised with 8 Danish Music Awards (in other countries called Grammys), 2 Faroese Music Awards, 1 Carl Award and a few other recognitions. He lives in rural Denmark and grows as much of his own food as possible, with focus on building healthy soil and working without machines.”

Theodoros Giannakis (born 1979 in Preveza, Greece) is a graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts and of the MFA program in Digital Media Management at London Metropolitan University in London.
Theodoros Giannakis (born 1979 in Preveza, Greece) is a graduate of the Athens School of Fine Arts and of the MFA program in Digital Media Management at London Metropolitan University in London. He is currently working on a doctoral thesis at the Department of Visual Arts of the Athens School of Fine Arts, with a scholarship from the A.G Leventis Foundation. He has present his work in solo exhibitions at Union Pacific (London), Eleni Koroneou (Athens), Radio Athenes(Athens) and SPACE (London) and has taken part in international group exhibitions in art venues, museums and institutions such as the New Museum of New York, the National Museum of Contemporary Art, Delphi Archeological Museum, Fondazione Prada, Ontario College of Art and Design, V22 Collection, and Futura Center for Contemporary Art. As a member of KERNEL art collective, he has curated exhibition and events and has lectured on his research at ICA London, the National Museum of Contemporary Art, the National Hellenic Research Foundation and at the Athens School of Fine Arts.

Christina Gerogiannis was born and raised in Paris (France). She graduated from Athens Drama School of G. Theodossiadis in 2006, although she had already appeared on stage since 2005.
Christina Gerogiannis was born and raised in Paris (France). She graduated from Athens Drama School of G. Theodossiadis in 2006, although she had already appeared on stage since 2005. Before that, she finished ANT1 Filmmaking School in 2002. She also works as a translator and a voice over actress for poetry, documentaries… In Theatre, she has collaborated with Kinitiras dance theatre company in plays such as Clytemnestra Invisible, the Net … (Megaron of Athens, Bangkok Festival,…). She has also taken part in prose and musical theatre such as Delikanis (Herodion Atticus Theatre), Rocky Horror Show, Memento Mori, Yesmanity, Kataklysmos … We have seen her on TV from her first steps till now in series of MEGA Channel (Latremenoi mou geitones, Polykatoikia…) and ANT1 (Gynaika horis onoma). In Cinema, we distinguish among others, two movies in which she played: Rainy Days by Alessandro Spiliotopulos and Forgotten Alive by Kiriakos Kotsinis.
