ABOUT THE EVENT

Dear friends, welcome to our Annual Film Festival Live Event for the films submitted to Short Encounters during the 2021 edition.
The event will take place in Preveza (Greece), will commence on Wednesday the 4th of May (2022) and conclude with the Awards’ Ceremony on Sunday the 8th of May.
During the 2021 edition, we had the privilege to welcome to our festival over 800 short films from all over the world.
From those, our judging committee has chosen 129, the 55 of which will be screened live during our main IN-COMPETITION programme, competing for the annual awards in their respective categories, while the rest 74 will be screened during our parallel OUT-OF-COMPETITION programme.
All screenings will be completed by Saturday the 7th of May. The fifth day of the event, (Sunday, 8th) will be reserved for interviews and Q&A sessions with artists visiting the festival and of course for the announcement of our annual winners, while a live band will be performing the 7 compositions nominated for the best original score award.

The streaming will start at 7.00pm EEST and will last approximately for three hours.
